Bloc 11 – Branding
Be Bolder was responsible for the CI development of Bloc 11, a bouldering gym in Cape Town, South Africa. The logo was inspired by a 45-degree angle, often seen on climbing walls and the outdoors. Bloc 11 boasts 700m² of bouldering climbs to enhance fitness and health.
The visual language is based on topographical maps that show contour lines. Topographical maps broadly represent the act of exploration and mountaineering. Here the goal is to bring the outdoors and the natural features found in nature, indoors.
Be Bolder continues to work with Bloc 11 for all ancillary brand needs like poster designs for the annual Bloc 11 climbing festival, the ‘Gravity Bowl’.
